St Paul's, Trinity, Trinity Bay NL 1799 Aug 21(st) Married Richard Ash Master of the Ship Lion & Catherine [Pynn*] Widow of the lat e Andrew Taverner of this Harbour. [Niece of Sir Henry Pynn of Harbour Grace daughter of [Geo .?] Augustis Pynn.*] From: "Donna Alden-Bugden" donna@alden-bugden.ca My husband's 5th great grandmother was Catherine Pynn who married Richard Ash and Captain And rew Taverner in Trinity. I have been looking for a connection between my Catherine Pynn and t hose in Mosquito/Quirpon and all I have found is that Catherine Pynn was b. abt 1763 in Harbo ur Grace. Catherine's father was Capt. George Augustus Pynn and mother was Sarah. From Catherine's marr iage records I have seen that Catherine was listed erroneously as the niece of Sir Henry Pynn . However, from a Will I have of her GRANDFATHER, I see that Sir. Henry Pynn was in fact a 1/ 2 cousin. Donna |
